Trotzdem probierenswert.

Draught @ BBF13. Pours murky amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with notes of grain and banana. Sweet, grainy flavour with hoppy and bananalike notes. Creamy mouthfeel. Tastes like a Dunkelweizen. Sweetish aftertaste. Acceptable.

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Hazy, golden-orange beer with a beige head. Banana, caramel, some cloves, and hops in the background. The flavor is much the same, but not as pronounced as the aroma, but it has a nice hoppy bitterness. The body is medium to full, quite sweetish. Hoppy finish with caramel. Quite reminiscent of a hefeweiss. (070805)

Draught. Weak banana aroma. Muddy brown colour. Nice big, stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and quite bitter. Smoky, pork style... HAM! But good ham. Rauchroggen? --- Beer merged from original tick of Finsterwalder Roggenbier on 08 Aug 2013 at 06:07 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Draught at BBF13. Caramelly ester aroma, hint of banana. Cloudy brown colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour has a hint of caramelly banana as well, more caramel than banana. Low to medium bitterness. Might as well be a Bernsteinweizen.

Sampled draught Berliner Bier-Festival.
Orange-brown, cloudy, brief head. Looks delicious! Ripe banana aroma. Lightly bready with spritzy mouthfeel and an empty over-carbonated finish.
