Can shared at work, cellared thise for almost a year. Pours incredibly thick and oily black with a tan head. Nose is huge, indulging and inviting chocolate bomb with notes of vanilla, tonka beans and hints of cherry. The taste is exactly as foreshadowed by the aroma: full-on chocolate bomb with notes of cherry, tonka and vanilla with just a hint of booze. Closes with a long lasting, warming and sweet chocolate finish with a touch of cherries and tonka, it has annincredibly thick, creamy and oily body and almost no carbonation. This is a world class stout with an outstanding level of intensity and an incredible body and it’s damn well rounded too. Not as good as the orange chocolate version was but no doubts a banger.

Tap@Taphouse 8th Birthday week rotating multi TTO (30/04/2022) -black with a beige head. Dark sweet malty with loads of chocolate, caramel, fudge sweetness, prominent cherry fruity accents, light vanilla, more chocolate, full bodied, opulent chocolate cherry edged malty finish.

Can at home, 23rd April 2022. Pours a thick black and viscous liquid. Aroma is Black Forest gateau, dark chocolate, sour cherry, sponge cake. Taste is rich, dark chocolate, bitter, cherry, dark chocolate and cherry liquor, cake, really tasty and an excellent Imperial Stout

Can at home picked up from Cloudwater online. A oily jet black colour with a dirty dark tan brown coloured head. Aroma is super rich, chocolate sponge cake, cinnamon, tart cherry. Flavour is composed of super rich cakey malts, oily, kirsch, cherry syrup, chocolate sponge, mild tonka, vanilla. Palate is oily, full bodied, velvety, sticky sweet, Fucking grate.

Appearance is oily midnight black, no head at all. Aroma is chocolate, cake, fudge, coffee hints, cherry, hints of dark fruit, cakey malt, brownie. Taste is as advertised- liquified Black Forest gateaux. Rich dark chocolate, chocolate malt, cherry sauce, hints of blackcurrant, overdone fruitcake, brownie, cake, roast malt, sweet and sticky. Full, thick and chewy mouthfeel. Excellent stuff.
