Cask@GBBF 2009. Dark ruby color, steady beige head. Strong aroma of chocolate and cherry (Kirsberry). Some coffee, milk chocolate and cherry. Aftertaste is dry ... coffee beans and light cherry. This is probably something you get when you mix Kirsberry and decent dry stout.

Dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of cherry and marzipan, and milk chocolate. Candy-like cherry completely dominates the flavour, and cover up whether it’s a good beer.

Cask @ GBBF 2008. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small tan head. Has a fruity cherry aroma with some hints of milk chocolate. Sweetish malty fruity cherry flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a sweetish malty cherry and chocolate finish.

Cask, 3.8% at GBBF08. OK cherry aroma. Very dark brown colour. Good stable creamy light brown head. The flavour has a lot of cherry but is not sweet. I do not really get any chocolate. Sharp and unpleasant cherry pit aftertaste.

Rather unsuccessful experiment with dry cherry extracts – taste more like a perfumed soft drink, than a decent beer. Nice in body appearance, though, with its deep, dark brown colour (third pint hand-pulled at The Bar Nouveau, GBBF 07.08.2008).

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 9 Aug 2008) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity nose with notes of dark cherries, chocolate and cocoa. Malty taste with chocolate, dark fruit and cherries all nicely balanced. Slightly bittersweet finish with hints of almonds. Strange beer and I know I normally shouldn’t like this, but still, I do. Nice one.

Cask at GBBF 08. I mean, you just have to don’t you? When you are presented with a beer title like that, you have to see what it’s like. Dark brown/dark ruby. Thin beige head. Lots of cherry, but chalky cherry. Cough syrup type aroma. Pretty awful, just stewed cherry with a bit of malt. Awful.

Cask (GBBF 2008) - Dark brown with red tinges. Sweet cherry aroma which seems artificial. Watery taste with cherry dominating along with some chocolate notes. Drinkable but a bit watery and sweet.
