Cinnamon-flavoured ‘white stout’ (apparently some brewers still think this joke is funny) aged on bourbon barrels, by one of Estonia’s best known postmodern craft brewers. Egg-white, moussy, open ring for a head, murky brownish-tinged ochre blonde robe. Aroma of bourbon indeed and strongly so, vanilla-scenting wet oak wood, white chocolate, marzipan, indeed cinnamon, Betterfood, chestnut sauce, wodka. Sweet onset but fortunately not overly sticky, ripe banana and golden raisin mingled with a marzipan-like effect, quite desserty with medium carb and full, slick, even syrupy body. Lots of residual sugars and added flavours (marzipan and white chocolate effect), cinnamon too, over a soft caramel-edged brioche-bready malt sweet core, remaining low in bitterness and – unsurprisingly so – acquiring a strong sweet booziness in the end, bourbon sweet and hot indeed, drenching everything in alcohol. Typical ‘white stout’ profile indeed, but maybe better described as a blonde pastry barleywine of sorts – sweet, ‘candied’, flavoured and very boozy, one to sip slowly after a meal in a comfortable armchair.

Cloudy deep blond to orange beer, small creamy white to beige head, little stable, bit adhesive.. Aroma: lots of ripe to overripe fruits, banana, very yeasty, not very nice. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit of vanilla, fruity, juicy, bit sugary and sweet, not very convincing. Aftertaste: juicy, very fruity, vanilla, lots of alcohol, bit of cinnamon, some caramel, vanila, too sugary and sweet.

0,33l bottle from Hoptimaal online store. BBE 14.4.25. Mid brown hazy beer with almost no head. Aroma has malts, bread, wood, dried fruits, apricot, raisins and plums. Also some bourbon, toffee and vanilla. Delicious. Flavor is not as diverse as aroma. It has dried fruits, bourbon and vanilla. Alcohol too. Quite sweet and very heavy, but good.

Bottle. Bronze pour. Aroma of nice fruity bourbon, raisin, figs, dates, caramelised malt, some tonka, vanilla, caramel, sweet cherry and coconut. Taste has sticky caramel fudge, bourbon vanilla, caramelised malt, raisin, tonka, warming booze, coconut, dates and a very boozy finish. Very boozy stuff, but with ripe fruit and vanilla, no glue or paint flavors here. Very nice.
