Bottle. Pours a lovely shininh golden amber colour with a low tan lace, but unfortunately also with some UFOs in it despite staying upright in a fridge for weeks. Light madeirarised english barleywine aromatics with american oak, cigars. Medium full body, chewy honey grain, iodine, light bubblegum and gum, mineral edges, funny fruity retronasal, lightly boozy aftertaste.

Bottle picked up from Bieraterie, Partenkirchen and consumed sat outside at home Saturday 17th July 2021 listening to Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right to Children, we had a Keith Floyd, Lamb Rogan Josh with homemade Chapatisr (Fin) and Onion Bhajis (Loz), we'd done a 12-13km walk around München today, mostly shopping focussed, clothes and food. Pours brown in colour, it's a little murky, off white head atop. On the nose there is some typical barley wine characteristics, sherry notes, wood, dried fruit. In the mouth, sweet but with an underlying tart edge, woody, vanilla, warming from the alcohol dried Christmas pudding fruits, sweet wine, it's good.

Huge, dense & fine, cream-coloured head over muddy orangey brown beer. Old fortified wine in wood, dried apricot, dried figs. Smelling very sweet. Again very sweet, but with a fine sourish hint, as if raisins with a bit of wine. Pastry and vanilla flavours, with Sauternes and some diary. Very thick, slick, alcoholburn. Tobacco in the aftertaste. Powerful, rewarding, and certainly a bit on the punch-in-the-face style.

Bottle. Hazy deep amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is coconut, raisins, caramel. Taste is caramel, vanilla, raisins. Oily mouthfeel with rather high, but soft, carbonation. Very nice, but not the very top of Barleywine.
