Hazy gold beer, good frothy white head. Palate is airy and dry. Hops are a little spicy with mild lemon and dry grapefruit pith. Dry finish with a medium bitter linger. Decent.

Bottle during the High Speed Tasting Pt. II on the train back to London after the Black Country Bus Tour. I snagged this one from Cotteridge Wines. Pours lightly cloudy yellow with a creamy, white head. Nose of hay and minerals. Light sweet flavor with dry hay, lemon rind and mellow biscuits. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Dry finish with more mild lemon and flinty minerals. So so.

Bottle on the Black Country Train Tasting 2nd installment, 06/07/13, thanks to Leighton for the pour. Hazed pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is hops, fruits, orange sherbet. Taste comprises faded hops, orange zest, bitter fruit notes, light mineral tones. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok bearing in mind it was a few months out of date.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. This beer was a real surprise. It had a rustic, earthy, yeasty aroma with a smooth but satisfying and refreshing bitterness with a lingering bitter, but ever so slightly sour aftertaste. I only bought the one bottle, but I will be returning for more. It was truly excellent and a real steal for the price. I now wonder how good their other single hop series beers are?
