330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, heavily roasted malts, vanilla, creamed coffee, and light alcohol. Rich flavors of all of the above. Silky smooth with a dry finish.

Draft at Rustico Ballston. Thanks Iphonephan! Poured a pitch black color, velvet, with a small tan head. Aroma was 92% cacao with some very dark plum and burnt espresso/malt. Flavor was roasted, roasted, roasted. Dark bitter chocolates. Alcohol is there, but feels lower than 11%.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear but rather faint aroma of malt, caramel and coffee. Dark, roasty flavour of coffee, malt and liquorice, with touches of caramel. Bitter and roasty aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Good.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Coquelles, France. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Taste is similar, rich, sweet, roasty, malty, coffee, hint of chocolate and licquorice. An excellent imperial stout.

deep dark brown colour, half inch creamy brown head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of chocolate, some coffee, dried berries, liqueur and alcoholic notes; taste of intensively roasted coffee and malts, liqueur, and some berries again; neverending roasted bitter aftertaste (based on the aroma, I expected something more sweet); excellent imperial stout

zwart met schuimige bruine kraag aroma van moutigheid, geroosterde- cara- en gebrande mouten, zoet, chocolade en koffie smaken: redelijk zoet, redelijk bitter, zeer sterke smaken, licht fruitig, sterk gemout (geroosterde- gebrande en caramouten), pittige kruidigheid is ook aanwezig in de vorm van pepertje/gember, mocca/koffie volle body, romig mondgevoel, lage co2, afdronk koffie bitterheid erg lekker bier, echter zijn de BA varianten vaak net iets beter, met name wat zachter.
