(Draft at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2025) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange peel, apricots and toast. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, orange peel, toast, caramel and a balanced spicy/earthy bitterness. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

I find it to be muddled and lacking drinkability. Feels very homebrew-like. Bierkonig ams

33cl Fles, al een oudje, ik had bij een Mild Ale geen DIPA verwacht. Oranje-amber kleur, witte kraag. Kruidige rogge, wat caramel, hars, licht moutig, hoppig, bittere finish. Rogge is duidelijk aanwezig. Lekker bier, eens kijken of ik deze nog eens vers kan scoren.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in November 2020. Very hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite bready, slightly floral aroma of grains, caramel, wood and a touch of citrus. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite herbal-grassy and slightly fruity taste of grains, apricot, some honey, hay and light citrus, followed by a short, rather bitter, quite herbal-grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting beer, fairly bitter and herbal, balanced by a heavy malty body. British indeed!

Watching “Ansikte mot Ansikte”. Unclear pale amber, white head. Heavy biscuitty malts, citrus, caramel, skunky old hoppellet, pine. Sweet & bitter. Medium body & soft carb. Expected a boozy maltbomb but it’s more pleasant than expected. Muted dry DIPA.

Pours a cloudy deep golden to orange colour and an off white head with a little retention. Aroma's of bready malt and some fruit. Additionally light herbs/spices retronasal. Flavour is moderate sweet, caramellish, bready, with mild bitterness. Warming alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Light moderate bitter finish.
