Bottled, obtained almost a year ago from the Kolding guys, large sample. Hazy golden color, medium off-white head, nice carbonation. Aroma has spicy and peppery yeast notes, quite some citrus, some soft higher alcohols, hint of grainy malts. Taste has quite some citrussy and piney bitterness, not a lot of sweetness, quite dry. A bit high on carbonation makes it crisp. Slightly alcoholic, a bit too much actually, but nonetheless I quite like it. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hønefryd 5. Bottle shared at the CBC 1st Birthday Party, London - thanks to...The Wolf? Pours hazy yellow with a big, white foam head. Dusty straw nose, some yeast, faint dry lemon. Medium sweet flavor, yeasty dry dough, light bitter hay. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet finish with some sticky sugars, light hay. It’s a touch sweet, but OK.

Bottle at De Molen 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured a slightly cloudy yellow straw colour. There is lots of life in this beer and there was a nice frothy head with some lacing. At 8.1% it's no surprise that the alcohol is quite prominent in he flavour. Lots of bitterness and a very smooth bitter aftertaste. A good choice of hops. A good refreshing summer ale. Actually reminds me a little of Duvel! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to Tom and Rene. It pours cloudy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is spicy yeast, dough, manure, floral and chlorine. The taste is spice, tart citrus, dough, floral and decent bitterness, with a somewhat spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A decent saison.

Bottle thanks to Tom and Rene the Wolf - Cheers Guys! Clear amber beer, massive off white head. Light palate, a little crisp with sting from the carbonation. Light sweet seltzer like minerals with a trace of fruit. Ruined by a fair bit of unpleasant soap.
