Bottle shared with the chefs, Advent Box nr 6. Intensely spicy but somehow it’s not the usual phenonlics that show, carbonation is too low and the malt character or residual sugars are too much for the style. Not tragic tho.

Bottle from Mr. Hop. Aroma is spicy and yeasty with malt, coriander, some sugary fruit, touch of banana. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body. Decent Tripel, on the spicy side though.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 21 July 2024) Pale amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with mixed fruit, apricots and candy sugar. Fruity, malty taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, orange peel, marzipan and a balanced spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced tripel. Nice one.

Bottle at Cafe Frape Maastricht. Pours clear pale gold colour thick lasting white head. Odd taste tripel some mint in there. Definitely herbal. As well as some lemon orange and grapefruit trying to struggle through. OK carbonation. OK bitterness on the finish. Odd. It strangely drinkable

A bit cloudy orange-cloudy colour, small steady white head. Sweetish fruity simple aroma with touch of tripel yeastyness. Medium-bodied. Quite sweet with unfermented sugars, light spiceyness. A bit homebrewish.

Thuis uit een flesje van Mr. Hop. Goudgeel. Weinig schuim. Geen uitgesproken aroma. Smaak is wel goed, lichtzoet, doet zelfs een beetje weizenachtig aan.

Bottle at home. Nothing special about this one but a decent enough tripel. Yellow-golden color, white head. A bit sweet and a fair bit herbal / spicy. Okay but not really my thing.

Creamy beginning. Nice soft spices, Belgium yeast. The body is mild, slightly sweetish with a great soft creaminess. A bit sweetish in the end, nice spices with creamy yeast and a very smooth soft body.
