The final day began as most days do.
The sky brightened. The birds awoke. The sun rose. And then He Appeared. And the sun fell. And the birds wept. And the sky vanished.
And the final day ended.

Bottle from the lcbo. Slightly hazy yellowish orange pour, with a small white head. Aroma is up front pine apple with some lactic notes, a little funk and some white vinegar. Good mouth feel, lively carb, medium to high tartness, and some light sour funkiness. The fresh pineapple flesh flavour continues throughout, I'm quite impressed how the flavours lasts and is very very authentic. It's a fresh piece of pineapple and a lovely lactic tartness, with some solid Funky cereals.

2021 edition pouring a clean, golden colour with a small white cap, average retention and some decent coating on the brew, foamy-creamy lacing. The nose is quite sour, as most of their brews, with some light wood and fruitiness. The taste is a puckering sourness with again, the mild fruit in the background. Gets a little hazed up at the last pour. Getting some hints of coconut with the pineapple. A pretty good fruity, sour, aged brew.
Pineapple funk works well!

Bottle pour at Small Pony, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of bright, fresh pineapple upfront, with a touch of bugginess and oak. Flavour is loaded with tart pineapple upfront, accentuated by oak, and some funky critters. The acidity is medium-to-high but works well with the pineapple. Very good.

Quite dominant pineapple aromas are accompanied by white-fleshed fruits, subtle notes of tangerines, all on a surette and wild base. Yellow and opaque liquid covered with a good semi-creamy and quite persistent foam. Taste is very sour and wild but with a well-defined fruitiness with pineapple tones, a perceptible woodiness and a small subtly salty side. The malted base is giving a honeyed side that combines admirably with the woody. Wheat adds an interesting cereal dimension. A lactic side comes to coat the whole and confers an interesting taste complexity. The body is a little round and velvety. The carbonation a little low. The tannins give it a slight astringency. Well fruity and pleasant this sour beer with a malty and woody side that brings a beautiful taste complexity.
