1, 2 and 3 year old lambic with fresh elderflowers (harvest June 2019) from a local nature reserve and 2018 harvest of moscato bianco and muscat ottonel. Blending the two grape lambics we liked how the aromatics and vinous mouthfeel finished dry by rounded tannins. Although already quite a complex blend we were looking for even more complexity yet carrying more intense retronasal fragrances and blossoms by blending in our elderflower lambic. This beer is made to celebrate Mia, the first daughter of our dear friends Evelien and Ruben.

– single barrel blend only released here [Winter pack 2020]

Clear golden orange with a very short lived white head. Aroma is vinous balanced with floral elderflower, cellar funk, tart white grapes and woody notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light sparkly carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Almost clear golden with white head that disappears immediately. Lots of white wine and white grapes, malty, soft funk, some elderflower that blends in well with the grapes, a hint of oak, dank cellar. Medium sweet, some tannic bitterness and a lighter sourness than expected. Sol8d medium bodied helped by some tannins. Quite unique, maybe a bit too much white wine like for me but a very nice and interesting beer.

Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. dark yellow hazy color, small white head. smells elderflowers, flowery, some tannins, some light grapes, spices, wood. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of elder flowers, bit funky, earthy, spices, herbal, some tannins, light curry notes, cheesy, peppery. finishes dry and bitter / sweet with notes of elder flowers, curry and some cheesy notes. quite interesting one, quite unique, very nice one, bit heavy on the cheesy notes.

Taster, many thanks to Sander! Golden, quite clear body, with a small, off-white head. Aroma with lots of elderflower, moderate funk, some grapes, some wood, some straw. Beautiful, rich taste of elderflower, blue cheese, wood, sweet grapes, some straw, some apricot, some red apple. Medium, velvety, a bit oily mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes perfect, dry, moderate sour, floral, vinous, wooden, with cheesy funk, elderflower, grapes, stone fruits, some apple. Beautiful! The nose is really fresh and quite dominated by the elderflower. The taste is amazing, so rich and complex, with the elderflowers, grapes and funk perfectly balanced and a perfect, long-lasting finish. Oustanding! Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 5 / 17
