This ale poured a golden orange colour with a short lived white spore like head. To the nose there are scents of metal, hopps, corn and grass. First sip was smooth with light carbonation. Not much complexity to the flavour. Corn, hopps and a barrell sum it up. Finish is slightly bitter with a slight watery palate.

Deep amber colour. Fresh hoppy aroma. Great balance of fresh hops and malt makes this a clean and easy to drink beer with a sharp edge on the finish.

Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Citrus bitter). Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft.

568ml bottle from Sainsbury. Deep gold colour with thin white head. Cut grass aroma with thin lemon citrusy hop. Well, if this is what an Englishman wants, "bring me my fields of burning gold," then I’m emigrating. Over carbonated, filtered, pasteurised, like most beers that undergo that treatment the malt is stripped and non existant which leaves only the hop to enjoy. and although it’s acceptable the rest of the beer is watery and non existant.

Bottle from Sainsburys, Banbury. Like ’Berkshire John’ I was rather underwhelmed by this offering. It poured a very nice golden colour with a decent if quickly fading white frothy head. Some hops on the nose and despite the company jargon I didn’t find this to be particularly crisp and zesty, it was edging that way but it seemed a little limp and lazy, ok but much better out there.

Imperial pint bottle from Sainsburys. Golden colour with an off-white head; slightly musty hop aroma; rather thin and flinty in the mouth, with a dry finish.
