Bottle on 22nd May 2025 from Morrisons via Deliveroo. Pours clear, dark brown with minimal, non-lacing foam. Mild aroma of liquorice and confectionery. Sweet fruitcup in-mouth with notes of cherry coke and and tangy fruit flavoured packet sweets. A candy sweet finish. A smooth mouthfeel - the beer’s saving grace is its texture.

500ml bottle from Spar, Llanfyllin. Pours dark brown, excellent creamy off-white head. Aroma of brown ale malt, fruitcake. Taste is smooth with a lovely subtle toffee sweetness with fruitcake and dried dark fruits. Really quite nice.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a thin tan head that fades. No lacing. Aroma of Marmite and brown sugar. Flavour of plum and watered down Worcestershire sauce. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Subtle and easy to drink. Not bad for a quid.

275ml bottle from Morrisons. Dark brown, small beige head, no retention. Aroma of malts, chocolate, liquorice but all a bit light. Taste is roasted malts, cola, touch of citrus again a bit watery. Light bodied. Not too keen on this.
