Cask at The Tyburn, JDW, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head; that’s where the positives end. Has a tangy, light malt nose. Flavor has definite tang. Some wood. Fuck. I order a pint - which I rarely do, preferring halves - and the beer is absolute shit. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with tangy lemon and wood, along with some dull, offensive leaves. Fuck it. England is playing Italy soon. I’m necking this swill so at least I’ll be loose for kick-off. This stuff is pretty rancid. Almost sour. Not pleasant. [Neither was it pleasant when England went on to lose to Italy on PKs.]

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a thin white head; weak, fruity, malt aroma; sweet with some orchard fruit and a thin, oily, body; then a lingering, fresh, hoppy bitterness to finish. Not very inspiring.
