A classic pale ale, brewed from British pale malt and US Cascade hops. Smooth, fruity and full- bodied, with a deceptive bitterness to complement its alcohol strength. Refreshing citrus hop aromas complete the sensory pleasure.

(Cask at Euston Tap, Euston, London, 27 Nov 2010) Golden yellow colour with hints of green. Brief white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, biscuity malt and floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, toffee and grassy hops in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Nice and refreshing.

Cask at the Euston Tap. Pours yellow-gold with a moderate, white head. Hay and straw bitterness with hints of citrus in the aroma. Good, balanced flavor with light orange and lemon citrus and some modest, toasted bread. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Dries out in the finish with more hay and mild, malty sweetness. Very good.

Cask, gravity, Merton Summer Beer Festival, 16-07-10 I’ve had this many a time and never got around to rating it, and to be fair rating whilst serving and dashing about like a mad man is probably not the fairest way to rate this. Pours golden in colour with a white head, this is fruity, hoppy and crisp, leading to a dry finish. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, big white head. Aroma is hoppy and slightly yeasty. Also has some slight spicy hints. Flavour is spiced, wooden and quite grassy and dry hoppy. Good balance, refreshing, but then again quite empty.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Gold colour with thin white head. Fragrant, flowery hop aroma. Bit of yeast on the aroma. Does lack a bit of body. I quite like the citrus drying hop finish. Some tangerine and I like the finish, just lacks a bit of malt structure in the mouth.
