(bottle) Clear, dark amber to brown colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly toasted (cara-)malty aroma with soft fruity (citrus) and flowery hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly earthy and toasty taste with light fruity hops; medium-dry malt-accented and mildy hoppy finish. Just a nice D-day beer but I was expecting something more (11.VIII.09).

Bottle from Morrisons. Pale chestnut in colour with a slight white head. Aroma and flavour dominated by red fruit and caramel. There was a touch of earthy hop in the finish, which was short and bitter. Ok.

500ml bottle from Morrisons.Golden brown with a thick cream head; aroma of stewed fruit and malt; delicate malty caramel flavour to start but then with a burnt sugar bitterness before the hops kick in for a biscuity dry finish.
