Can. Almost opaque dark reddish brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft but with reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet dark malts, not overly rich, blend well with rich fruit cake. Soft brandy soaked fruits. A mild savoury and very ripe and smooth brandy on the back end. Smooth finish shows a pleasant mild warning alcohol. Intriguing rich and very drinkable Quadruple stout BA thingamajig.

Echt top.

Dark pour with a thin beige head. Cognac, dried fruit, raisins dipped in alcohol, apple brandy, tons of caramel. A bit too sweet and boozy - the stout notes are not there.

Sampler from Erik. Clear brown with a very brief tan head. Woody, boozy. Some caramel and muscovado. Not quite there.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A clear nutty brown coloured pour with a halo of loose dark tan. Aroma is big spicy cedarwood, brandy, some hot alcohol, raisin, boozy fruit cake. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, brown sugars, cedar, toffee, cakey malts, dried fruits, white grape. Palate is medium sweet, rounded, oily, lowish carbonation.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 17/01/21. Light black meets extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized tan cap that eventually settles as a swirl atop the glass. Nose is ripe dark fruits, toffee, cognac whisper, oak, figs, dates. Taste comprises sweet malts, stewed fruits, brown sugars, chocolate dipped raisins, subtle barrel tones, figs, dates, gentle booze tunes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid complex barrel affair.
