Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 30/11/12. Hazed golden, thin white head, soon clears to edge and forms a film. Nose is vegetal, peas, malt. Taste follows no more to say! Medium bodied, light carbontation, veggy bitter finish. Classic twig water - meh !!!

GBBF. Light haze on this amber beer, little white head. Light dry palate - quite flat. Okay balance of mild malts and repressed citrus. Dry finish. Standard stuff and condition is poor.

Two hand-pulled pints of this Traditional Bitter: Swan Hotel, Wellington (Shropshire) on 29th Sept 2012. Mid-amber body, clean and clear: an off-white head sat on top of each pour. The nose was more malty than hoppy: some semi-sweet molasses (toffee and caramel) hid the fruity, nut esters of the hops until the beer began to warm in the glass a little. The taste followed the smells: malts ruling the flavours with the hops just providing a slight bittering towards the end of each sip. It was fairly well balanced and not as malty as I might have described to be honest, lets just say it leads with the malts. An OK session beer but not one I’d seek out.
