Keg draught at the General, Rushden. Still got some of their Three Hills stock and Im taking advantage. Damn near black but actually very dark brown, a swirl of tan head. Aroma is strong salted caramel, pecan, hazelnut. Sweet, sweet taste with gooey caramel, praline, sugared nuts and treacle. A touch of bitterness at the end. Gooey body, thick with just enough carbonation. Light salted popcorn in the aftertaste. So, so sorry to have lost this brewery.

Can. Opaque black brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Slightly thin dark malts but redolent with creamy dark chocolate. The hazelnut praline is obvious, plenty nutty, but smooth with a nice caramel toffee. Light smooth finish finds a mild fruity chocolate. Nice enough, but quite the surface flavours without big depth or good integration that for me, reduces drinkability progressively quickly and by half the can, I had had my fill.

27/12/2021. Can with ITFCfan & ITFCDan at the post-Christmas blues share. From Craft Metropolis, Penge. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma is big hazelnut, doughnut, raspberry jam, praline, coffee, caramel, crunchie. Medium to heavy sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full body, slick texture, soft carbonation.

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black. Lots of chocolate, hazelnuts, Loacker waffles, sweet, rather full-bodied. Very nice.

Can picked up from Hoptimism webshop, Loughborough, Leicestershire UK and consumed at home Sunday 17th January 2021, now watching The Umbrella Academy on Netflix we had a Mexican meal tonight, Chicken Tunga, Guacamole, char Grilled Sweetcorn with Feta and Red Onion, Tortillas etc. Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is way over the top, completely artificial and plastic, okay it's meant to be nuts and chocolate I guess but it's so artificial. Taste is a little better and the hazelnut, milk chocolate, cake flavours all show but I cannot get past the nose, in fact I could only manage to drink a third of the can I had to pour the rest away.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A opaque oily nutty brown coloured pour with a small tan head. Aroma is massice, freshly cut hazelnut, chocolate, powder, icing sugars, praline, very nutty. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, tangy big nutty malts, adjunct, cakey fruit cake, chocolate, tangy fruits. Big lingering hazelnut. Good fun.
