Pours a dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruits, especially cherry, hops. Flavour is light sour, light woody/smoked. Bitter fruity aftertaste. Complex and interesting, but not for me. I found the fruity sweetness a bit harsh.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 14-10-2016, at Viisi Penniä, 20160101) The beer poured mahogany red and hazy. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had molassess, caramel, chocolate and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramel, molassess, grass, herbalness and bitterness. Afteraste was sweet, malty and bitter. A complex brew: starts very sweet and malty but the hops turn the brew rather spicy and herbal towards the finish.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours deep hazy red-brown with a decent beige head. The nose is sweet, earth, wood, must, cocoa, dried fruits, caramel and toffee. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, brown bread, spice, alcohol, citrus peel and damp leaf with a dry, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Not bad.
