Pours like motoroil, black and viscous, with no head. Aroma's: sweet, molasses, roast, soy sauce, a bit boozy. Retronasal: booze is more upfront, whisky, light peaty, sweet, molasses, roasted. Flavour is moderate sweet and alcoholic, a bit fruity, with some roasty bitterness. Strong alcohol feel, somewhat sharp and hot. Medium to full bodied. Long finish with roast and moderate bitterness.

Dark brown. Not much head. On the nose, it's got a little alcohol burn, with a bit of fruitiness, some roast. The finish is mostly dark fruits and alcohol. Burly, not refined, but all told it's a decent beer.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tons of the whiskey barrels upfront, with booze, and a little perfume. Flavour is sweet and boozy, with lots of alcohol, sweet caramel, molasses, and whiskey. There are some nice whiskey notes, but it's rather boozy and sweet. Could use some refining, but it's a nice one.

2019-09-05, can from the Gull, North Vancouver, 7-4-8-3-16=38
A bit smokey. The alcohol is very evident. A bit too much tar.

Pitch black colour, small brown head. Nice aroma of dark malts, tar, spirit, cardboard. Very smooth, light sweetness, it has a strong flavour of tar; the alcohol is very strong, but smooth.
Good, excessive.

Can picked up from Beer Gonzo, Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry and consumed at home in the company of Mum and Keith, Friday 22nd February 2019 and listening to 6 Music. Pours black with a small head. Soft and smooth, good light carbonation, whisky notes on the nose, roasty malts, some dried fruit and smooth chocolate. Good.

Can. Black oily pour. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, fruity whisky, tarr and malt. Taste has boozy fruity whisky, licorice, mild smoke, tarr, oak and a really boozy finish. The whisky is overpowering and not very interesting. Mediocre.
