Okay smell of English-style bitter , decent appearance but not much head to speak of. Has a good flavour of wood, grains, some sweetness on the back end. Good mouthfeel. Can’t complain, it’s a decent brew.

Surprised at the low score. Slight metallic nose with some soft hops. Smells actually a bit like a brewery. Mouth is all about the malt and fairly full bodied. Decent stuff that I could drink several pints of.

clear yellow, small white head. aroma sunburned beer dominates. yuck. i guess the totally clear bottle might be to blame. i bot it in a supermarket in spain. flavor sweet from honey, nice bitterness, smooth. sunburned aroma did not get to the taste.

0,5L Bottle @ home. Amber/orange colour, nice creamy but disappearing head. Aroma of hops and malts. Soft caramel and malt flavours, a bit sweet, with a nice fresh hoppy finish. Not as dry as most pale ales, but a good thirst quencher, very pleasant to drink.

bottle, found accidentally in the wine cellar of my father, best before April 2002. Brwon colour, slightly hazy with some floaties. Aroma of caramel. Flavours of malt and roasted malt, hoppy as well with a shy touch of fruit. Even 5 years after its best before date still quite nice.

Bottle from Morrisons, Banbury, 20-04-07. Poured warm golden colour, some caramel on the nose. Taste a touch sweet (caramel again) but very easy drinking as the bottle says this is ’deceptively strong’ I was merrily gulping this without really much consideration to the abv. Less bitterness and complexity than I’d hoped but a reasonable beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Nutty nose. Quite full-bodied with notes of caramel and roasted nuts - almost coffeeish. Some sweetness and quite alcoholic. 170407
