500mL bottled July 26th, 2019, drunk October 26th, 2021. Lightly gushing bottle pours a pale amber, with a hint of chill haze and a small, off-white head that hugs the edges. Whiskey is prevalent, though not dominant alongside strong lactic acidity. Cherry, raspberry, cranberry notes all emerge from the mix of rye and bacteria/yeast. Malts seem substantial yet only add like bread dough and hints of honey. Yuuuummmm, warming and comforting with plentiful rye whiskey and tons of cherry and light olive/cedar. Soft and malty with good attenuation and balance. No booze. Lactic acidity is prevalent but not overdone and there's only a bit of acetic character. The rest of the glass is soft and malty, with tons of lactic and light acetic character. Very classic Oxbow sour. Whiskey is there but not overdone in the slightest.

Sample thanks to Cloin: Poured a burnt orange with a white head. Aroma is funky fruit, straw, barnyard. Taste is fruit, oaky, deep woodsy almost like a finely aged bourbon, mellows a bit at the finish.

Bottle split at the second High Tickombe Tasting, thanks to Fergus, 04/09/20. Lightly hazed nod amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is dusty fruit esters, crackers, grains, barnyard notes. Taste comprises dried berries, light funk, stewed fruits, damp wood, gentle funk, earthy tones, mellow yeast loaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent.
