English Barley Wine is a notoriously diverse style with a complex palette and aroma. Our version is a smooth, viscous beer with sweet malt character taking precedence, underpinned by fruity ale yeast esters and UK hops for balance and depth.

Can. Almost clear orangey amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts, a bare minimum of malt sweetness but at least some light caramel - toffee. Bright dried fruits and a little crystallised fruits. Mild spice. Thin dry finish. Curious affair, flavoursome but thin and dry. For me, any decent barleywine starts with the malt base, here it seems like a bit of an afterthought.
