330ml bottle into weizen glass. Cloudy golden orange beer with towering white head. Nose is sweet and fruity with just a hint of grass. Looks great, smells great. Smooth texture, taste is a bit weird. The normal notes of banana and cloves seem to have been replaced by sherbet and aniseed. Eminently drinkable Hefe but not quite right.

On tap at Bridge Road, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of banana and clove. Flavour brings out notes of banana, citrus and wheaty notes. Rather watery but it's made well. Decent.

*Bottle in Singapore. Smooth and fresh Weizen aroma with yeasty hints. Easy to drink. hints of spices. Not bad for a Hefe Weizen.

Lightly cloudy with a white head. A bit of yeast and spice. Not a whole lot going on here.

(Bottle) Clear pale amber with thin short-lived loose head. Not very pleasant aroma - partly fruity, partly damp cardboard. Light body with coarse fizzy carbonation. Taste starts quite pleasant with fruity notes - banana and citrus - but the rather harsher, somewhat phenolic flavours emerge leaving an aftertaste that was not to my taste. Disappointing.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma was unsurprisingly crushed banana! The flavour is grapefruit citrus fruit, spicy and a little sour. Maybe it was the Bombay mix I’d recently been eating, cos the crushed banana wasn’t evident in the flavour! It’s a sharp citrus spicy and very different Hefeweizen. Check it out if you can.

Bottle. Hazy orangey amber with a very modest white head. Lemony aroma with tart apples and a little wheaty bread. Watery - no liquid bread here. Taste has some apples and pears and lemony sourness. Nothing much in the way of banana or spices, although there’s a little white pepper. Odd, but refreshing. [2.5] Tap. Hazy orange amber, white head. Aroma has lots of banana, some vanilla and cloves. Quite bready with vanilla, slight lemony tartness, cloves. Completely different and much better, but this time too much banana for me.

From a 330ml bottle on 14/9/2010. Moderate aroma of banana and sugar. Flavour wise, there’s not too much going on. There’s a hint of hefe spice and banana. It’s milky in texture, quite sweet and has little to offer on the bitterness front. A fairly ordinary effort.

Pours hazy amber with a small head.Nose shows typical bready notes and cloves with not so common lemon, orange blossom following.More lemon and cloves as flavours along with the expected doughy wheat and yeast.Nice med-light body with medium carbonation. Suits the beer well.
