Cumbrian Legendary Ales Trio At Home, bottle #3 of 3. A practically black coloured stout, which is all about the vanilla in this one. It's only subtle though, but that's enough to become the dominant driving force of this stout's taste. Away from the colour there's nothing much 'regular' that recognisable. The vanilla is mildly sweet, it's evident in aroma too. A touch of white chocolate is available as well in what is a pretty easy drinking ale. This one was brought back home from a Lake District supermarket.

Bottle from booths. Nose is vanilla, vanilla ice cream, wafer, hints of coffee ice cream, touch of chocolate.

Taste is wafer, catering chocolate, woody, almost sour note, leading to licorice.

Smells nice, taste is very unbalanced.p

Panda to home, thanks to SHIG, 29/07/20. Black pour with a decent khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, tobacco, roast malts, leather, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, vanilla, dark malts, toffee, brown sugar sprinkle, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours very dark brown with a bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, berries, vanilla, chocolate and light roasted malt. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, average to soft carbonation. Vanilla is very subtle, quite drinkable.
