A superior lager, stronger and with more hop character than our Pennine Pilsner, but still only flavoured with Czech Saarz hops. Carbonated gently to compliment its crisp refreshing nature.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, grain, hops, grass, cereal. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Crisp and quite drinkable.

Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance -- hazy yellow. Thin head. Nose - corn, slight citrus and Saaz spice. Taste - corn and honey this time. Palate - light bodied creamy texture. Dry-ish finish. The nose is fresher than the taste. Overall - decent.

Keg, third,, at The Stonewell Tap in Lancaster. Shared with Finn. Firm white tophead. Clear straw coloured body. Clingy lacing to the glassware. Brief smell of mid-sweet fruits and pale malts. Modest flavour character of sweet citric and grain. Ends mid-sweet. Okay version of the style. (06.02.2019).
