[33cl can from Beer52.] An opaque chocolate brown pour with a thick tan head; rich chocolate aroma; rather thin in the mouth with an earthy taste, a woody bitterness and some brown sugar; then a dry finish. Certainly tastes like a brown ale even if it doesn’t look like one.

Foamy tan head left a frothy cover on a dark mahogany coloured still body. Malt & iron aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the front with a rough back. Malt, coal, nutty, roasted & liquorice tastes. Average.

30/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours mid to dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted, hoppy, nutty, malty, toffee. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Can: Poured a deep dark brown to black with a huge tan head that laces up the side of the glass. Aroma is smokey roasted malts, hint of chocolate. Taste is smokey, roasted malts, chocolate, light hops grit, continues very roasty in the finish.

330ml can via Beer52; BB May 2021. Drank at home on 31st May 2020. Dark Cola body, tan topping. Strange one this, aroma held some chocolate and orange like esters, taste a weird malty mess with again some orange like influence. Not my favourite Yeastie Boys beer by a long way.

Can from Beer52. Jet black colour with a tan foamy head. Aroma has chocolate and hints of citrus. Taste roasted bitter, bittersweet chocolate and citrus. Smooth body.
