(Can) Pours clear mid brown with tiny white head. Little aroma, maybe toffee, possibly nuts. Medium body with good bright carbonation. Toffee malt sweetness and some nice gentle bitterness. Couldn’t taste the nuts though. Enjoyable beer.

440ml can from Sir Toby's Beers, shared with Finn on a train from Norwich to Ely. Steady off-white head leaving clingy lacing on the glass, deep dark brown body. Earthy aromas with nutshell. Prominent chestnuts to the taste profile, mid-sweet and dry. Rounded finish of earth and brown malts. Pleasing. (11.11.2021).

Bottle: Holy crap this one is a foamy mofo, when there is already head in the bottle before pouring it might be an issue. Poured a mahogany brown with a huge (understatement) tan head. Aroma is head...earthy and nutty, some malts. Taste is earthy, some hazelnuts, leafy, malty, finish is dry and nutty.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - slight gusher. Amber to brown with decent fawn lacing. Nose - red fruit and nuts. Perhaps a light wild yeast tang. Open mind though. Taste - tangy red fruit, perhaps cranberry. Nuts at the back. Brown bread. Wild yeast tang coming out as a dry yoghurt note. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy sour in the middle and end section. Seems like a wild yeast infection. Overall - not as the brewer intended.
