Bottle at Pigs Ear. Clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fairly light malts, a little caramel and cream. Offset by very mildly sour ripe fruits and dried fruits. Light and semi dry finish. A rarely seen style and this one is a bit different again. Pretty easy drinking.

Gravicask, half, 7.1 % abv, shared with Finn at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Near-black in the glass, off-white head, poor lacing. Subdued smell of mid-sweet grainy malts added by dried fruits. Hints of dark chocolate to the taste buds, added by a sourish note. Noticeable alcohol. Okay, not in its best condition though. (St Albans, 27.09.2023).

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Murky mahogany brown with a moderately appointed beige head. Nose is tangy fruit rinds, light balsamic notes, earthy, dried berry nip. Taste comprises tarte fruits, grains, soy sauce, a touch harsh, vinegar tang. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. unintentional sour ... seems this beer performs badly year on year!

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours clear brown with a bubbly, off-white head. Lightly sweet with tangy semi-dark fruits, berries. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more berry tang. Is it supposed to be like this? If so, that’s a shame.

Cask gravity at the London drinker beer fest 2017. A murky dark brown coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is boozy apple cake, hot alcohol, watery. Signs of a stressed ferment. Flavour is composed of sweet, rough malts grainy, apple cake solvent and esters. Palate is oily and flabby, lowish cask condition, meh.
