The first beer brewed by Allendale Brewery on St. Valentine's Day 2006.
A beautiful light ruby ale, highly drinkable with a refreshing bitterness and an exciting citrus floral hop character from a late hopping of Cascade. Also has Columbus.

Bottle. A gift from Totnes. The person not the place. Clear amber. Frothy suds of lasting pale tan head. Nose has caramel. Bit of rye like spice. Marmalade hoppage. Twist of ripe citrus fruit. Taste is semi sweet with a decent hop spice bitterness. Good body. Fair bitter finish. Nice trad job.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 1 April 2022) Reddish amber colour with creamy, tan head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, toffee and red berries. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, toffee, red fruit and a mild earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced bitter. Nice one.

500ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. Pours an steady off-white head, clear copper coloured body, rings of lace down the glass. Promising aromas of mild caramel, bread, and herbal hops. Well balanced taste profile of bread, earth, caramel, and leafy hops. Mid-dry, resinous bitter endnotes. Drinks well and a suitable partner to our turkey. Likable. (Tromsø 02.01.2022)
