The Event Horizon Imperial Stout is an incredibly rich and luxurious beer brewed with ten malts, local honey, and four American hop varietals before and extended aging in oak bourbon barrels. The result is a beer with many layers of complexity. As the name implies, with one sip you will be unable to turn back. This 2010 special release will age well for years to come, or enjoy now in good company. Cheers!

almost black colour, moderate sized beige head; aroma of dark chocolate, bourbon, soy sauce, some coconut and slight honey; taste of dark chocolate, bourbon, licorice, some burnt coconut and hints of soy sauce; great one!

Bottle. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is caramel, thick chocolate, honey, a touch soy sauce, roast, very rich. Taste is vanilla, caramel, bourbon, walnuts, good amount of wood, a touch liquorice and roast as well. Velvety mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very tasty, nice character, immensely thick and rich for 8.5%

From the bottle. Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of bourbon, soy sauce and vanilla. Taste is sweet to bittersweet, laced with bourbon, trends a bit tart at the end. A bit of booze but I wouldn’t call it boozy. Body is full, silky smooth, low carbonation, oily. Good overall.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Andrew! Pours a deep brown to black with a small beige head. Oaky, chocolate fudge nose with roasted malt and coffee aromas. More roasted malt, toasted toffee and mild tobacco notes. Smooth medium to above average body. The bourbon notes come out at the end with a warming finish. Lots of chocolate notes throughout.
