Amber, generous, with bronze highlights. Great aromatic intensity, with notes of nuts and candied fruits in the bouquet, slightly spicy. Particularly soft and elegant body, with excellently balanced hints of malt, caramel and hops. A beer that distinctly leaves its mark.

50cl shared by Alexcg. Pours deep golden with an off-white head. Heavy aroma of caramel with some malt and just a hint of hops. Very sweet, heavy on the caramel flavour. Too sweet for my taste.

Clear dark amber beer, little white head. Sweet malty nose with a dash of old English pub! Softish dry palate. Sweet malt, with banana abd a trace of bubblegum. No hops allowed! Does what is says on the tin - Doppio Malto!

Sampled from bottle at Brewery Creek, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Simple aroma of syrup and caramel malts - hints at being cloyingly sweet. Flavour is sickly sweet with caramel malts, syrup and slight Belgian yeast notes. Simple, cloyingly sweet and unrefined. Not good.

Good, very dense & fine off-white head, over faintly hazy orange-amber beer. Nutty, oxydized, sweetish cookies gone too old & fatty. Woody touch, even wry-ish, relieving the again too oxydized notes. Bottle is probably too old, but no BBD to be found. Finish as from a very sweet Bock, hazelnut oil. Extremely slick, medium bodied at least. Pity, beer gone over its best definitely.
