Amber, generous, with bronze highlights. Great aromatic intensity, with notes of nuts and candied fruits in the bouquet, slightly spicy. Particularly soft and elegant body, with excellently balanced hints of malt, caramel and hops. A beer that distinctly leaves its mark.

Light amber color, small white head. Caramelly, slightly alcoholic, fruit candy nose. Medium-bodied. Candy-like, caramelly, sweetish with tickling alcohol. Quite typical Italian ...

Bottle from the Cave. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, hint of fruits, and some alcohol noticable. Flavour is sweet malted, caramel, yeasty and a boozy finish. Not too impressed.

Bottle. Reddish amber beer with a strongish head. The aroma is sweet malt, and the flavour is vinous, port like with a fruity winter fruits and spice finish. Overall a reasonable malty beer, not as strongly flavoured as the alcohol percentage suggests.

bottle thanks to SHIG, pours light brown with a thin off white head. Aroma and flavor are strong toffee and caramel with little signs of the alcohol.

Bottle from Whole Foods on East Houston (NYC). Not bad. Poured a red-orange with a firm yet light white head. Aroma is lots of malt with some sweetness - honey, fruits. Flavor is very alcoholic with caramel notes. Mild dryness and bitterness. Lingering taste of alcohol.

Bottle from Wine and Cheese. Pours lightly hazy amber with virtually no head. Aromas of very roasted malt and something like tobacco. Near fully bodied with very mild carbonation. Flavor is caramel, with a cola aspect, and enough bitter to make it palatable. That’s a very poor description of a beer that’s smooth and quite drinkable. There is no trace of heat. Just realized this is 10%. Comes very close to barley wine. Pretty tasty beer.

Bottle. Sweet peach, orange, barley malt aroma with a hint of hops. Reddish amber color with minimal head. Sweet peach/apple and moderate bitter citric hops flavor. Palate is pretty light. A nice tasting beer but I would like more body.
