75 cl bottle @ LTM Takeover in Huikas '21, production date 09.03.2020 Aroma has licorice, vanilla and coffee. Flavour has lactose, licorice, some saltiness. Good stuff, somewhat far from the basic version which is saltier.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice floral coffee notes with lactose, black chocolates and light roasted malt. Taste is a good mix of floral coffee notes with plenty of lactose and black chocolate notes and light roasted malt. Body is pretty full with lactose providing a creamy texture with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. A great latte imperial stout.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings outlots of coffee upfront, with some lactose, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is very fruity, with lots of dark red fruits, some oily coffee, and sweetness from lactose. I can't really detect the barrels. The coffee and lactose come through more as dark fruitiness. Good stuff, but totally different than I expected.

750ml (thx, Alex M.!) at Matt's amenity room. Appearance: very dsrk brown with a beige head. Aroma: sweet, roasted malts, coffee, light green peppers. Taste: along the same lines, smooth due to lactose, but missing body a bit at the same time. Overall: good one.

Dark brown. Thin head. Lots of coffee on the aroma, quite a bit of barrel, some thinness, and a bit of fruitiness. Has a nice barrel accent, and still a decent chocolatey sweetness. Solid.

(750ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours basically black with a small pale beige head. Aroma of raw sugar malts with a little milk chocolate and nice vinous dark fruits, clear notes of lightly sweetened cold brew, some umami touches and a little bitter roasted grain. Flavour is somewhat sweet up front with espresso and soft chocolate meeting dark sugary malt, hints of vanilla, again some dark stewed fruit and a little umami, good coffee notes throughout the sip with some slightly bitter roasty quality to it, finishing rather dry and clean with the lager yeast showing in the crispness, lingering notes of coffee, milk chocolate and a little bittering hop. No real alcohol presence at all. Medium bodied for style, smooth oily-craemy feel. A nice variant of this classic brew, with the coffee showing well and the lactose complementary but subtle. Great sipper.
