A Bavarian black beer with distinctive carmel malt sweetness and rich creamy trademark head. Flavorful, yet smooth; it is very drinkable!

On draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. 03- 05- 2011. Deep dark brown with nice fluffy white head. Light hop nose. Taste is a nice floral hop blend no bitterness, smoothed out by roasted malt. A thin to medium mouthfeel that gives it higher drinkability. A nice balance of hop and malt. Easy drinker, would buy again. Higher end of the style.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours black with dark brown/ruby red highlights, small beige head, and silky smooth. Taste is roasted malt (mostly light chocolate), some caramel, and some hops in the finish. Good, this and Xingu are my Schwarzbiers of choice.

Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized stable rocky off-white head; sweet caramelly nose with toasty and fruity traces; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite smooth; sweetish-caramelly finish with a roasty bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. Good brew....

Bottle from Half Time. Pours very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aromas of cola and chocolate. ? Med minus body; sharp, foamy carb. Flavor is sort of sweet malt with chocolate, but the combo still suggests cola. Drinks ok.
