Celebrating 30 years by re-releasing this one... nice! Clean deep amber colour with a frothy-soapy warm beige head, average retention and some light lacing. Smells like bread at first with yeast and darker cereal grains, but then, some big sweetness take over. Brown sugars, berries, dark fruits and a touch of nuttiness. The taste has the nuts, but the sweetness is quite tamed down. Some light warming alcohol, but not much else. An interesting nutty strong amber ale, that I am glad I got a chance to try. Here's to another 30 years!

A reddish copper ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with resinous herbaceous hops, treacle, pleasant. In mouth, nice fruity caramel malt with esters, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery. 30th Anniversary edition.
