Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is of spiced fruit leading to an unusual weak bitter, slightly resinous, fruity, spiced, yeast flavour with a smooth palate and finish. A very refreshing spring ale I must say!

Bottle from the Bierkoning Amsterdam. A bit hazy orangy color, full sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly herbs and spices, a slight bitter touch. A bit boring. Low to medium body and carbonation.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Traverse, Utrecht. Hazy dark yellow with a white head. Yeasty thyme aroma with some aniseed. Taste is thyme all the way, maybe a bit too much. Short aftertaste. An interesting combination, beer and thyme, but not well executed.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Solo hungover tasting in my hotel room! Cloudy amber beer, residual white head. Light dry palate, crispy. Herbs! Cough medicine! Trace of toffeeish malt and hops underneath. Finishes crisp. An inventive brewer but this one is too weird for me!

Bottle, 6%. Sweet malt aroma. Hazy dark copper colour. Good off-white head. It is hard to taste the thyme, perhaps because I am drinking the beer with pizza. But still rather malty, refreshing hop, not so powerful. Well-balanced.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy chestnut colour, off white head. Aroma of thyme, crackers with salt and thyme, some toasted malts, sharp plastic-like notes. Flavour is of a Belgian amber with loads of thyme, spruce, light plastic bitter finish. Medium bodied, slick, needs a bit refinement.

Bottled from de Bierkoning. Cloudy orange to lightbrown color, short head. Aroma has pretty much thyme, some sesame seed, slight flowery hops, some orange, bit nutty caramel. Slight spicy taste, bit dryish, some citrus, only slightly sweet. Reasonably bitter finish. I was quite curious about the use of thyme in a beer, and to be honest, also a bit afraid it might be too much, but it actually turns out pretty nice! Would probably fit good with certain foods as well.
