A malt and brown sugar nose, low white head and a dark amber body. A mild, well blended and probably authentic rendition of a wee heavy scotch ale. Much cleaner and understated than the North American wee heavies on the market today. Sweet malt, caramel, roasted grain and some sweet berries, but not overly sweet - the major drawback of most wee heavies. A different but enjoyable take at 7% abv.

Fruity malts, chewy, caramel, toffee, light roast, nutty. Low bitterness, semi sweet, light grass, big fruity, toasty malts.

A reddish copper ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light butterscotch, herbaceous character, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with light butterscotch, light mineral notes, nice and smooth if a bit thin. On tap at Bowmans.

Part of The Beau's Mix Winter 4-pack for 2017-18. Pours a clean amber colour with a beige head that lasts longer than most Wee Heavy, with minimal lacing. Nutty nose with some nice darker fruits, but not too sweet like most of the style. Flavours are well-blended with the dark fruits, caramel, nuttiness and roasted malts lingering. Goes down very smoothly as all not too rich. Would have this again.
