A deep irradescent purple ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light tropical fruits, light acidity, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of dragon fruit, light cork, light mineral notes, pleasant. Can at Festibière de Laval 2019.

Today is a national holiday in Quebec so I figured I’d drink something from my home province and as it is very sunny I chose this sour beer: Brasserie Generale Pitayana 5.8% Kettle Sour with Pineapple and Red Pitaya Fruits Purple-red with a fizzy pink head that brings to mind a tropical cocktail more than a beer. Sour lactic slight acidic pitaya fruity aroma, I get nothing from the pineapples. The taste is somewhat tart and acidic a touch tropical, a year old so probably not quite what it was meant to be but this held up way better than that Vrooden Boysenberry beer.
