A rosey golden saison with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with grapeskins, light cork, grape juice, light lactic notes, very nice. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with grape must, light acidity, light buttery notes, pleasant. On tap at St Bock.

Vintage 2016. On tap at Le Saint-Bock, pours a clear golden, no head. Nose is a bit oxidized but in a nice way that gives it a sherry-like character; there's lots of musty white wine grape skins and a bit of tired rustic character. Flavour is complex, with a nice sherry-like oxidation, some barnyard funk that must at least be a function of age, white wine grapes, and gentle residual sweetness. At 5 years old, this has held up remarkably well. A treat.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Hazy golden colour with dense, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of unripe green grapes, horse stable and grapefruit. Fruity, tart taste with sour grapes, grapefruit, grass, funky yeast, some vinegar acidity and a mild grassy bitterness. Medium body, dry. Fresh, tart and solid saison. Very nice.
