Can. Clear golden, with a white head. Weak, sweet nose with fruityness. Malty and sweet flavor with some tropical fruit and hints of caramel. Medium to full body and a warming alcohol finish with fruityness as well. It is quite nice for a strong euro-lager, but the alcohol-level ruins the balance. (070106)

500ml can from Carrefour, Calais. Deep gold with thin white head. Like the other Amsterdam beers, this has no off flavours nor any puke. What it does have is some syrupy alcohol. My god it’s strong. A bit syrupy. Bit metallic on the carbonation. It’s fine, but I probably won’t buy these beers again.

Big yellowish, fluffy head over clear metallic red-golden to pale amber beer. Dry alcohol nose, bit of fatty as from a dry sausage, caramel, very slightly grassy. Finish is, again, sheer alcohol. Sweet, cloying, syrupy caramel taste. This is brown sugar, dissolved in water, and then shot into raw, cheap wodka (that’s why it is exported to Poland?). Cloying, diluted by alcohol. This is a genuine horror. I have trouble believing this hails from... Grolsch? Vakmanschap is meesterschap? Even Bavaria ought to be ashamed for suchlike.

Creamy offwhite head with some larger bubbles. Yellow body with ongoing carbonation. Sweetish grainy taste with noticeable alcohol and some grassy hops. Syrupy, with some bitterness. Decent. (0.5l bottle.)

Can, 500 ml, 8,3 %, expiry date: 03052006; eye: white head that disappears quickly, yellow in color with golden reflections and that is where the good things stop; nose: syrup, malt, alcool that reminds me of hydrogen peroxyde; taste: sweet, sweet, sweet; overall: after my third sip I cannot see how I will finish this. Unless you love beer so much that you personally have to rate all of the beers in the world, pass this one. Currently this is the second worst beer I have add in my whole life, the worst one being an Old Milwaukee which ended up with an overall rating of "Not even good after a really hot summer day spent on the golf course." I cannot drink this any more, it is going down the sink.

(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden with a small, fine head. Very potent and alcoholic. It’s pretty much all alcohol - and a lot of sweetness. No real pleasure this. 210300
