21/12 A 0.5l can. It poured golden body with medium sized head. Simple apple malty aroma with some alcohol. Weak flavor, completely malty, sweet fruity in not the best way possible, but there is nothing much in here, just some alcohol. Even slightly unpleasant. So, very thin in body, although syrupy on palate with lower carbonation than usual. Very short corny finish. I could hardly finish my glass.

0.5l can from somewhere in Italy or France, shared with heavy poured a golden body with a medium sized fluffy white head that went away relatively slowly. Oily, sweet, slightly fruity malty nose, notes of alcohol. The taste is very sweet, sugary even slightly fruity, ending with alcohol. Again, quite unimpressive.

Pours very frothy with a big nice white head. Not much aroma. Taste is of hops, malts, and a hint of alcohol. Easier to drink than their caramel-liquor maximator, but still not much to recommend here.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm) Yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, sweet nose with hints of grass and bread. Fairly restrained and lacking some character. Malty, sweet taste with notes of tropical fruit, bread, sugar and a mixture of turpentine and kerosene. Some grassy hops shine through after a while. Taste is dominated by sweet malt and heavy alcohol flavours, it tastes like a lot stronger than the 8.4%. More than medium body. Not very complex. Drinkable, but not much more than that.

Can. Orangey gold color with a three-finger fine white head. Malty aroma. Med. body with fizzy/frothy carbonation. Flavor is sweet malt, with light citrusy/fruity aspects. FInishes sweet, towards syrupy. Better than many MLs, and lacks the common fusil oil presence. I’d drink it to be polite.

A golden lager with a thin white head. A sweet orange peel aroma, with a bit of milky overtones. In mouth, a very sweet cloying malt liquor, with a bit of lemon, cardboard, syrupy. Not very good. 500 mL Can from Case del Vino, Bogota, 7500 COP (3.75$).

50 cL can. Pours clear and golden orange with a slowly diminishing white head. Light cornish and mild sweetend aroma. Sweet malty flavoured with a notes of caramel. Light grainy and alcohol flavoured finish yet also with a persisting caramel malty note.

Sugary sweet aroma reminds me of strawberry milkshake powder. The flavour is similarly sweet. Eventually the high alcohol content leads to a dry mouth. For this type of beer it’s ok, nothing more.

Can, 8.4%. Sweet, maizy, peppery aroma. Clear golden colour, small white head. Sweet and peppery flavour with a little maizy aftertaste. Gets sour after a few sips.

Can. Amber with a soft white head; aroma of toffee and boiled sweets; thick and syrupy with flavours of peqch and lychees; sour finish with obvious alcohol. Too asertive.
