Bottle as “Sainsbury’s Yorkshire Bitter”. Smooth mild beginning. Slightly grainy. Very dry, bitter, caramel. I miss the Ale aromatic, dry bitter in the finish, dense dry. Nice.

Tight thin off white head left a spotty cover on an amber coloured still body. Berry & tea aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated over the tongue with a sticky back. Bitter berry, spices & caramel tastes with a long tangy finish. A great pint!

500ml bottle. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, a little yeasty, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Clear amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of marmalade and biscuit, some herbs. Deadish texture typical of old-school bottled bitter. Dullish malt but the finish is dry and pleasantly bitter.

500 ml bottle into shaker. Golden bronze beer with medium carbonation and large foamy head. A little lacing. Nose is subdued dark caramel with a whiff of earthy sulpher. Flat mouthfeel, smooth texture. Notes of caramel fudge at first then a lingering finish of herbal grassy bitterness. Nice enough but not quite balanced, lacks cohesion.

Bottle thanks to Dave, 20/10/18. Golden copper with a decent off white cap. Nose is biscuit, straw, dried fruits, brown bread, toffee. Taste comprises biscuit malt, raisins, caramel, grains, brown sugar, fruit slice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok.

Bottle from Sainsbury's, as their own Yorkshire Bitter. Pours crystal clear amber with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of caramel and toffee. Taste is light sweet, malty. Not much going on to be honest.
