Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon 26-07-09 Pours warm gold with white head. Aroma is a bit honey and malt. Taste is big on the alcohol, quite bitter, hops are there along with some vanilla and a touch of soft creaminess. Ok its a fairly pokey strong lager, but I didn’t mind it. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Golden with a lasting white head. Weak aroma of bready malt, a little grassy hops, and a hint of alcohol. Sweet and alcoholic flavour with a little lingering hops.

Bottled(500ml). -Dark golden coloured, small to medium sized white head that went away slowly, a bit lactic nose with notes of brewing cereals. Distinct alcohol presence along with obvious lack of hops. Mild bitter finish. Drinkable but one-dimensional.

0.5l bottle (7.5%) courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from ČR (thanks!). Poured a golden body with a medium sized fluffy white head that went away slowly. A fine buttery, slightly spicy nose with notes of rice crackers. Definitely Czech. The taste is more of the same, butter, rice (in a nice way) but hit with waves of sweet malitess and some light alcohol. Some herbal notes too. Prettyy much missing aftertaste and desperately in need of hopiness (just some very light hoppy bitterness) but far from offensive, actually drinkable for the strength.

Biggish offwhite shiny head. Golden body with light carbonation. Fruity honeyish earthy grassy aroma. Dry-sweetish earthy malty oranges taste with resiny grassy notes. Full-bodied. Smooth mild mouthfeel. Possibly faint alcohol heat. Dry resiny grassy oranges aftertaste. Nice, and somewhat unusual. (0.5l bottle, Pivovarsky Klub, Prague.)

Deep amber, almost red sparkling colour with fizzy white head. Luscious, luring aroma, then when you taste it you are blitzed. Very harshly alcoholic, leave some burning cognac taste on the palate. Nevertheless there is some fruitiness in the aroma, which turns to dry hoppiness. i describe this "aggressive" beer. it’s too strong for me, i’m knocked out.

Rerate from bottle. Honeyish nose, a hint esters, medium full dry body, focus on sweet malt, minerals chalk, ok bitterness. Ok malt liquor. Old rating: 5 4 5 2 9 Bottle. Hay and (buttered) potato?? nose. Amber, beautiful golden cream, low carbonation. Medium to low body, hayish and bready base, herbal, rubbery and earthroot notes. Weird, nor entirely bad, but weird.

Dunkelmalziger aber relativ süßer Antrunk. Etwas klebrig wirkend, alkoholisch, disharmonisch. Etwas herb werdend, die süßliche und klebrige Malzigkeit ist dabei aber weiter drückend. Leicht bitterer Abgang, weiter malzig. Lieblos. Test vom 11.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,6,5,8,7,5 - 5,80

Bottle@Beers of the World Live (NEC), 2008. Golden beer with a malty aroma and a bitter flavour. Overall an average strong malty beer.

(Bottle at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 23 July 2008) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, slightly spicy nose with notes of toffee and sweet malt. Malty, grassy taste with lots of toffee, decent malt sweetness and a good bitterness in the finish. Rather sweet with some alcohol shining through. Firm body. Quite balanced for a pale lager of this strength. Nice one.
