Bottle. Ruby/mahagony with a small but lasting head. Aroma is malty and boozy. Wood, vanilla and raisins. Taste is malty, fruity (red berries), spicy-alcoholic, caramel, bitter hops and a wee bit of salty liquorice. Finishes with an almost aggressive and long lasting dry hoppy bitterness. Sherry. Alcoholic warmth. Low carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Asda. Clear, deep copper colour. Messy, sticky, beige head. Nose has cake mix. Acetone. Some unripe berrry fruit. Taste is cakey, fruity sweet, before turning boozy, woody and metallic bitter. Medium body. A bit claggy. Pretty harsh bitterness on the finish.
