Brown bottle, 500 ml, production date: 17/08/2018, purchased at Broue Ha Ha on March 8 2019, savoured on April 26 2019; eye: black, opaque, good sheet of brown head that turns into a ring, no lacing; nose: coffee, roasting, alcohol, molasses, light cherry, light vanilla, slight bourbon, chocolate; mouth: coffee, roasting, alcohol, molasses, light cherry, light vanilla, bourbon, light alcohol warmth, chocolate, anise, finale in chocolate with light presence of bourbon, medium-full body, below-average carbonation, slightly bitter, lightly sweet, slightly alcoholic texture; overall: quite good

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon and vanilla with some chocolate notes is enticing. Taste is a mix of black chocolate notes with some residual sugar notes and some bourbon notes are also perceptible with some cherry notes that are also perceptible. Body is somewhat full with good carbonation and no real alcohol is apparent. Enjoyable but bourbon notes could have been more pronounced.
