Herbal, strong pithy citrus, basil, and mint with stone fruit and sharp lemon zest. Bright mouth feel, soft carb. Medium bitter, very pithy, grapefruit, lemon, and fresh cut grass with a minty herbal finish.

(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours near-opaque yellow-gold with a decent white head and spotty lace. Aroma is dank catty mango with some funky over-ripeness backed by guava, papaya and floral lime with a little earthy pine in there for balance. Flavour is bright lemon-lime peel and pulp with pineapple with some not-so-sweet yellow mango, crackery oaty malt that is quite dry for a Hypa, bone dry finish with lime peel florals, light peppery citrus oil and conifer needle, soft bitterness. Fairly light body, soft tingling carbonation. Solid example, definitely less sweet than expected with a crisp refreshing nature and an unusually lime-forward presentation for this hop bill. Nice!

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy pale yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with excellent retention and some light lacing. Aroma of huge floral undertones notes with lupulin powder clearly showing up. Taste is also dominated by loads of lupulin powder notes with some huge floral undertones with some citrus and light tropical notes also discernible. Faint residual sugar notes is also perceptible. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Another enjoyable NEIPA from this brewery but I think I prefer versions without the lupulin powder.

On tap at brewery, side-by-side with the HYPA #3. Cloudy golden colour with a light beige head and lighter creamy lacing. Aromas are quite mild with citrus notes, orange-grapefruits, juices and pulp. The flavours are also milder than most HYPA beers. Still has the citrus pulp and juice. The mouthfeel has decent dryness, but still wet enough to be refreshing. Seems like this HYPA is a bit lighter than others, which should make it easier to start with this one for most.
