A thin white head on a rich amber/mahogany body. A complex nose features many of the elements in the taste profile - caramel, apricots, marmalade, wood and some English hops. Lots going on in the taste profile. Leads with caramel and butter, leading into berries and earthy hops. Some spice, orange marmalade, damp wood and plums follow in the mix. Complex and enjoyable

A red copper barleywine with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, resinous and piney hops, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with loads of resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light treacle, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at L'autre oeil.
